Concentric
Support
One person answers these. It is not a queue, and it is not a bot — which cuts both ways: replies are real, and they are not instant.
From inside the app — the one that works best
There is a request-or-issue button in the header on every tab. It reaches the same person as email and arrives with the version you are running and, if you have problem reports switched on, what actually failed.
It also carries the identifier for your install, which is what makes questions about your own data — "delete what you have of mine", "my sync is stuck" — answerable without anybody having to work out which install is yours.
A report is written to your phone first and uploaded after, so filing one while the server is down does not cost you the message you just typed.
By email
If the app will not open, or you would rather not use it, email works. Include what you were doing, what happened, your app version and your iOS version if you can find them.
Questions that come up
Do I need an account?
No, and you are not asked for one. Everything works without signing in. An account exists so a log can survive a lost phone and move to a new one — and when you make one it adopts the history you already have rather than starting you again.
Does it work without internet?
Yes, entirely. Logging, the rest timer, the charts, your standings and the whole exercise library are on the phone. Nothing waits on a request, and the server being down is invisible while you train.
Is it really free? What is the catch?
It is free, there is no advertising and there are no in-app purchases. The catch, if it is one, is that it is made by one person on hardware they already owned, so there is no support team and no roadmap anyone is contractually obliged to deliver.
What there is not is a tier you get moved onto later. Nothing is held back — no cap on routines, no cut-off on history, no limit on custom exercises, no trial that ends.
How do I get my data out?
Settings → Export. It writes a CSV that opens in any spreadsheet, with every set you have logged. No request to anybody, no waiting, and it works with backup switched off.
I am moving to a new phone. What do I do?
If backup is on and you have signed in, install Concentric on the new phone and sign in — the log follows.
If you have not signed in, export a CSV from the old phone first and import it on the new one. An iPhone backup that includes app data will also carry the database across.
Something imported wrong. Can I undo it?
Import tells you what it merged, what it guessed and what it could not read, rather than quietly normalising your history. If a name got merged that should not have been, or two spellings of one movement did not, both are fixable afterwards — and a merge keeps the old name as an alias, so re-importing the original file does not split them again.
Do not import the same file twice expecting it to be ignored. It is not a merge; you will get every session and every set a second time.
My Watch workout has not appeared on my phone.
It will. A Watch session is stored on the Watch and handed over when the two devices are next near each other with both apps able to run — which is not always the moment you finish. Putting the Watch straight on a charger delays it rather than losing it.
If it still has not arrived after the two have been together and unlocked for a while, send a report from inside the app: that is exactly the failure problem reports are for.
Is my training data used for anything?
No. It is not analysed, not aggregated, not anonymised-and-studied, and not sold. The privacy page says what is uploaded and under what conditions, in the same detail.
When is there an Android version?
It is built and in closed testing. The download page has what there is; it is not on the public Play Store and is not going to be.
I want everything you have of mine deleted.
There is a page for that, and it is one message.
Deleting your data
Erasure is handled on its own page, because it is a different question from "how do I stop backing up".
